Program Description

The International Relations (IREL) major is an interdisciplinary major designed to train students for careers in global politics. This major is particularly designed for students who want to work in organizations like the U.S. Departments of State and Defense, the United Nations, and a range of non-governmental organizations. It requires two semesters of a language chosen by the student (such as Spanish, French, German, Russian, Italian, and others). It also requires students to complete a Senior Seminar (POL 481 Seminar II).

As an international relations major, you'll be trained to be the liaison between nations. As multilingual candidates with interdisciplinary backgrounds, graduates of the international relations program at La Salle will have a hiring advantage over students from other universities.
